Big Brothers Big Sisters Has a "Private Chef"
September 30, 2007 – Chef Luna is volunteering
his personal time to inspire Big Brothers Big Sisters
"littles" about creative cooking and healthy food
choices. Chef Paul Luna of Ferraro's Bar e
Ristorante of Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea
will be working with the organization's after school
program lending hands-on courses that instruct its
kids on how to prepare healthy meals.
"When Chef Luna is here, he turns the kitchen of our
Mentoring Center into a culinary masterpiece. These
kids are very lucky to have Chef Luna's time,
creativity and expertise," said Char Tomas, Programs
Supervisor of Big Brothers Big Sisters, whose "littles"
vary in age, ethnicity, nationality and need. "It is
great to see a member of Maui's culinary community
want to be involved in the well being and health of
our children."
